Job Description
We are seeking to recruit a Microscopy Technician to perform tasks related to the maintenance and operation of AFM & Electron Microscopes in support of scientific researchers. The Technician will be responsible for lab management tasks such as equipment maintenance and supporting of other lab members.
Qualifications
Applicants should have a university degree or technical school training in microscopy and electronics or in a related a field. Work experience in laboratory is required. Previous experience and expertise in electron microscopy research would be advantageous but is not absolutely required. Good project management skills and excellent communication and the ability to collaborate with others in the research group and outside are essential for a successful candidate. Furthermore, good knowledge of desktop software applications and good interpersonal skills will be expected in the international research environment at Umbrella Technologies.

Mechanical Technician FT/PT
Job Description
Work involves responsibility for supervising important laboratory functions in the operation and maintenance of special laboratory equipment and machinery. Document all equipment and system maintenance and repairs. Ensure safety checks and routine tasks are conducted and documented in a timely fashion according to the established policies and procedures. Be responsible for equipment cleaning and disinfecting according to specified standards after repair and maintenance has been performed. Ensure all testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated. Supervise and construct research and experimental prototype models from sketches and oral instruction; instruct subordinate technicians and mechanics in the proper work methods and techniques.
Qualifications
Graduation from high school plus high level vocational training and experience in the field; supervisory experience highly desirable; or any equivalent combination of training and experience and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with engineers, scientists, students, and subordinates.
