From Schematic to Silicon

PCB Design RF & Analog Embedded IPC Standards

UTI designs complete electronic systems from schematic through production-ready hardware — analog, digital, mixed-signal, RF, and embedded. Every discipline needed to build UTI’s own technology portfolio is available to client projects.

The team that built UTI’s distributed sensor networks, spread-spectrum communications hardware, biosensor acquisition systems, and real-time power controllers is the same team that works on client projects. Not a parallel group for outside work — the same engineers, the same tools, the same design review process.

System Design

System architecture, signal simulation, schematic development, component selection, and BOM optimization. PCB layout designed with manufacturing, thermal, and enclosure constraints built in from the start, not added as an afterthought at layout review.

RF compatibility analysis, EMC planning, and certification support. Multi-layer board design through production handoff with full documentation packages.

Embedded Firmware

Firmware for microcontrollers and embedded processors across all major architectures. Middleware development, host software, user interface layers, and multi-platform compatibility. From bare-metal register-level code running tight control loops to full RTOS-based systems managing multiple subsystems concurrently.

UTI’s firmware team has written real-time power quality control algorithms, adaptive sensor calibration routines, spread-spectrum communications stacks, and custom machine-code operating systems — the same capabilities applied to client embedded development.

Wireless & RF Design

RF circuit design, wireless protocol integration, antenna design, and power management for battery-operated and always-on systems. DSP and FPGA development where signal processing performance requires dedicated hardware acceleration.

Experience across licensed and unlicensed spectrum, from short-range wireless connectivity to long-distance spread-spectrum data links operating in contested or interference-heavy environments.

UTI’s electronics design capability is not a generic contract design service. It’s the same team and process that produced proprietary technologies — sensor platforms, navigation systems, data acquisition hardware, and encrypted communications equipment — now applied to client projects with the same quality standards.
