System Integration

Complex Systems, One Team

Multi-Domain Sensor Fusion Test & Validation Full Lifecycle

End-to-end engineering, from initial concept and system architecture through prototype, testing, and full-scale production — delivered as a single accountable partner for the complete development lifecycle. UTI integrates its own technology with its own manufacturing, meaning the team that designed the sensor is the team that builds the board, writes the firmware, and machines the enclosure.

What This Looks Like in Practice

Defense application: A distributed chemical detection network. UTI integrates chemical sensors onto a mesh communications network, processes data through high-speed acquisition hardware, encrypts telemetry through proprietary algorithms, and delivers to a central command display. Hardware manufactured in-house. Firmware written in-house. Enclosures machined in-house. One point of contact, one accountable team.

Industrial application: Energy cost reduction across a compressed air or electrical distribution network. UTI deploys intelligent monitoring and control hardware, characterizes power quality in real time, and delivers data logging and analysis for operational optimization. Based on the same controller and monitoring architecture used in UTI’s validated power technology systems.

Medical/OEM application: A biosensor subsystem for integration into a diagnostic instrument. UTI customizes sensor surface chemistry for the target analyte, designs and manufactures acquisition electronics, and delivers a fully tested subsystem ready for OEM integration. The client receives a working subsystem, not a design package requiring further development.

Single Partner, Full Stack

Most system integrators assemble other people’s components. UTI integrates its own technology with its own manufacturing — every step of the development lifecycle managed by one engineering team. No handoffs between a design house, a firmware contractor, a board fabricator, and a box-build assembler. No finger-pointing when the integrated system doesn’t perform as expected. One group responsible for the complete system from spec to shipment.

System integration engagements draw on any combination of UTI’s capabilities: electronics design, embedded firmware, contract manufacturing, CNC prototyping, material analysis, and technical consulting — all coordinated by the same engineering leadership that manages UTI’s proprietary technology development. The 30-year R&D program is the track record.
